The Tigers made it three straight over the Twins behind a solid outing by Mickey Lolich.  He improved to 5-3 and he gave up one run on five hits and two walks with nine strikeouts in the complete game.

Dick McAuliffe was the hiting star.  He went two for four with a solo homer and a pair of runs.  Willie Horton drove in the other run with a sac. fly.
