Mickey Lolich Throws Three Hit Shutout, Willie Horton Hits 31st Homerun

Tigers 2, Angels 0 (84-50)

The Tigers made it two straight over the Angels behind a three hit shutout by Mickey Lolich. He gave up just one walk and he struck out twelve and the win pushed his record to 13-8 on the season.

Willie Horton pretty much was the Tigers offense in this one. He had two of the Tigers five hits and he drove in both runs. His solo homer in the fourth inning was his 31st of the season.
